This mid tone Mediterranean blue is one of the 66 shades of blue we sell. Often associated with the sky and sea the color blue has a calming and relaxing effect on the body. Blue roofs have become a trademark of Greek Islands. Originally painted blue because the paint was cheap and readily available, the authorites encouraged it to show cohesion and to draw in tourist trade. In 1974 the government enshrined the tradition of painting roofs blue in law!
